Post menopause is a whole new chapter of life, yet it’s often overlooked or dismissed, leaving many women without the support, knowledge, or tools they need to thrive.
When I wrote my first book, It’s Not You, It’s Your Hormones, I was 49 and still navigating my perimenopause years. I’d spent years researching and developing a toolkit of natural solutions for balancing hormones and easing the ups and downs of this phase. And it worked – not just for me, but for so many women who followed the recommendations in the book.
But then, at 52, my periods stopped, and I entered a whole new chapter: post menopause. It didn’t take long for me to realise this wasn’t just “life as usual.” Brutal night sweats hit me hard, leaving me exhausted and miserable. I couldn’t ignore the signs – my body was changing again, and my carefully crafted perimenopause toolkit wasn’t enough anymore. I needed to reevaluate everything I thought I knew about staying healthy and vibrant in this phase of life.
Life After Menopause is the result of my own research into how to age well (in addition to my 10 years clinical experience in women's health). It's about what happens post menopause, the physical and emotional shifts we go through and how to embrace this next chapter with confidence, health, and vitality.

Living better, not just longer post menopause
We’re living longer than ever before, but for many women, the years post menopause are filled with unanswered questions and unexpected challenges. How do we manage new and lingering symptoms?How do we protect our bones, muscles, and brain health? How do we hold on to our energy, joy, and sense of self in a world that often overlooks us?
The truth is, this stage of life is a huge opportunity. With the right tools and mindset, it can be a time to redefine who we are, what we want, and how we choose to age. That’s what Life After Menopause is all about – helping you feel empowered and equipped to live well in the years ahead.
Key themes of Life After Menopause;
- Redefining ageing: ageing is our chance to ditch the stereotypes of decline and invisibility, shift our mindset, and embrace our post menopause chapter with pride, confidence, and positivity.
- Optimising your physical health – we can't stop the ageing process, but with only 10-20% of how we age down to our genes, there's so much we can do to age better. Hormones are still important, but we also need strategies for protecting our bones, heart, brain, gut, skin and immune system.
- Supporting emotional wellbeing – the emotional shifts and stresses during this time can be just as significant as the physical ones. Supporting mental health and building resilience and connection are important strategies for healthy (and happy) ageing.
- Practical tools and inspiration – with practical advice, self-reflection exercises, and inspiring stories to help you stay motivated, I hope you'll feel supported, informed, and ready to make positive changes in your life.
The EMBRACE Protocol
At the heart of the book is the EMBRACE protocol – my simple, actionable framework to support your physical and emotional health post menopause. It's designed to switch on your longevity genes and protective anti-ageing pathways, and turn down your inflammatory and pro-ageing pathways.
Inside the book, there's also a link to download a free Workbook that you can complete with your own personalised action plans.
I wrote Life After Menopause because there isn't enough focus on post menopausal women. This can be a hugely challenging and difficult time for many, but I also know how transformative it can be when you’re armed with the right knowledge and support.
Whether you’re looking for guidance on staying healthy, managing symptoms, or simply finding inspiration for the years ahead, let’s navigate this new chapter together and make it your best one yet.
